Camas Prairie Railroad Part 1
Peace And Quiet
I imagine that it was quite a racket when the trains passed over the trestle behind this old farmhouse. The tracks are now abandoned, but so is the house....

Wild Camas Flowers
The flowers that our prairie gets its name from. The Native Americans used to dig the bulbs for food. Now, we mostly just enjoy the beauty, but I did try some of them cooked. They were ok, but I am not sure they are worth the effort.

Cottonwood Industrial Area
I love these old switches. The rust, the history, that railroad feeling they give you.

Look Into My Eyes
Wow, what a set of eyes on this little guy. It was sitting next to the track on the other side of a trestle and really didn't mind me too much. When I got up next to it, it took off.

Bridge 44
This one is 413 feet long and 62 feet high. Just prior to coming up to this bridge, a farmer told me that they drive small tractors over them. That made me feel a little safer about my atv.

Stock Creek School
I have driven by this beautiful relic a few times but I just noticed the sign saying that it was Stock Creek School. These rural one-room schoolhouses are so interesting to me.
